Belgian-Style Wit

Belgian-style beers have become popular with craft beer drinkers because of their dynamic offbeat flavors. They can range from fruity to tangy tart in one sip. Our Belgian-style wit (white) has pilzen malt as well as malted and unmalted wheat to produce that classic hazzy canary colors and soft palate. Corriander (seed of cilantro) and orange peel are used in the brewing process to develop a delicious taste best described as citrus/celery like. This beer drinks easy and finishes with a refreshing tartness.

Belgica

Belgica —the Roman name for the Low Countries—is a marriage of the best in American and Belgian brewing traditions. Belgian pilsner malt, a generous amount of American and European hops and a unique Belgian yeast strain combine to give Belgica big notes of citrus and spice, creating a lively concoction perfect for spring in the Rockies—or the Ardennes.

Belgo Holiday

This time every year, everyone anticipates all the spoils of the fall harvest. How can we celebrate the holiday season without friends, family, and great craft beers?! This year we’re releasing our first version of our holiday ale as a gift to all in the spirit of the season. Inspired by culinary ingredients used to feed our souls in the few months to come, our Belgo Holiday combines the flavors of pie pumpkin, butternut and acorn squash, as well as sweet potatoes, to create the warming sensation in this special ale. A large addition of cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and coriander overwhelm the aroma and place you in your grandmother’s kitchen on Thanksgiving Day. A special Belgian yeast strain along with Belgian aromatic malts round off the beer and compliment its rich and flavorful character. Have a pint next to someone special to you, because for us making and drinking beers like these means nothing unless they are shared!

Belgo Sutra

Belgo-Sutra is a beer inspired by those brewed in the Abbey’s of Belgium.  With a nod to complex malt flavors and just the right balance of hops, we added 30 lbs of dried dates and 30 lbs of figs directly into the fermentation tank.  Pours a dark brown with hues of orange and red. Hints of molasses and brown sugar dominate the malty nose of this beer. A malty sweetness is accentuated by flavors of molasses and caramel with hints of figs and dates. A complex malt bill lends itself to interesting layers of sweetness balanced by a touch of hoppy bitterness. This beer is medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel.

Brewed and dedicated to the believers of Ninkasi. Rich dark malt complexity is balanced by a plentiful hop presence bringing together perfection in every sip. Who knew believing had so many rewards? Multiple kinds of carmel malts are used to create caramel, toffee, date, fig, subtle chocolate and a hint of roasted malt complexity. The hops lend to an earthy and floral hoppiness to balance the malt. The balance of the two aspects with the alcohol content make for an incredibly drinkable and full flavored beer.

Bell's Ales for ALS IPA

The 2015 Bell’s Ales for ALS IPA has tropical, grapefruit, silky and oatmeal notes. It comes in at about 6.5 percent abv. “It’s important that the brewing industry gives back,” said John Mallett, Bell’s director of operations and one of the designers of the hop blend. “It’s a pretty fun program. Good hops, great beer, great cause.” It was brewed with the same hop blend, which includes equinox, mosaic and experimental hops. The blend was designed by Bell’s Mallett, as well as Bear Republic's Rob Kent, Sierra Nevada's Ken Grossman & Brian Grossman and Beachwood BBQ and Brewing's Julian Schrago.

Bella Ciao

White Oatmeal New Zealand hops This hymn to resistance sings the virtues of co-fermentation of white and seasonal yeasts. His nose has clear aromas of lemon zest and spice dominated by cracked black pepper. His mouth, ultra-dry, is rounded in the final by a gentle oat and New Zealand hops which confirm its strong citrus accents. Target customers: Ciao Bella is a partnership born of a tenacious friendship and the Hole shared commitment of the devil and the Italian brasserie Del Ducato to fight to reinstate beer acclaim.

Bella Vigna Tripel

This beer is the premier offering in a collaborative series between two South Carolinians – one went to California to make wine, the other stayed home to make beer! We aged this Tripel for 9 months in French oak barrels that were used to mature the 2008 vintage of Whetstone Bella Vigna Pinot Noir. A re-fermentation in the bottle creates the tiny bubbles that bring this exciting fusion of brewers’ and winemakers’ crafts to life.
