Brewed with wet hops picked fresh from the vine at Crooked Creek Hop Farm in Addison, NY and rushed to our boil kettle!

Accurate to style, historically this type of ale was brewed to compete with the fast growth of the American Lager style. The addition of corn as an adjunct dates back to early America, when malted barley was hard to come by. This recipe uses a flaked maize and pale malt blend with a light Cluster hop for bitterness to create an easy drinking and thirst quenching lawnmower beer. Note: this style would easily double as a great dock beer!

Like most Santa Barbarans, we at Pure Order felt a deep connection with Gemina – the crooked neck giraffe that inhabited our beautiful zoo for close to 20 years. Our Hefeweizen, its name and its label are a tribute to that resilient animal who overcame a unique deformity to live a long and healthy life. All the while teaching us the important life lesson: differences can be both accepted and celebrated. The beer itself is a full flavored and refreshingly drinkable take on the South German style. We hope that the unique blend of banana and clove flavors will make this brew as recognizable within the Santa Barbara community as its namesake.

A sly grin says that Mankato Brewery’s Crooked Rook has something up it’s sleeve. The flavors of bittersweet chocolate, coffee, and caramel conspire with the hops’ floral and woody notes, making this beer one cheeky little devil.

Developed in Manjimup WA, the Pink Lady apple is the star of our cider blend. We add a splash of pear which rounds out the the mouthfeel and provides body making our cider immensely enjoyable. Overall the cider has a crisp acidity which mimics biting into a apple, clean with a light aroma of apple and elderberry characters.

A very clean, flaxen-coloured beer with wonderful thirst-quenching properties. The subtle blend of aroma and bittering hops give a crispness on the tongue which is delicately fruity, giving way to some dryness. The inclusion of flaked maize in the grist subtly hints at crisp corn flavours.

Crop Rotation is our ever changing IPA recipe that is aimed at showcasing the beloved hop plant. No two batches are quite the same, but the hops will always be front and center with a variety of great aromas and flavors.

Our 2012 release in the Pro Am series represents our biggest Pro-Am beer to date. We decided to brew this beer with 100% imported Belgian malts and sugars which help give it a truly authentic character. This strong Belgian ale boasts a rich maltiness from its four specialty malts. The sweet malt is complemented and refined by the addition of Dark Belgian Candi syrup. The aroma is a pleasing mixture of the malt and spicy phenolics and esters from the Belgian Yeast. Warming alcohol notes in the finish help make this a beer to remember. Our 2012 Homebrew Competition winner was Jake MacDonald of Minnesota. Jake brought this wonderful beer literally “Cross Country” to enter it into our competition. Our panel of judges were so impressed with the rich complexity of malt and sweetness balanced with the Belgian yeast aromatics that they unanimously selected it as the winner. We were also lucky enough to have Jake and his brother travel to California again to help us brew the full-scale batch.

Brewed using a combination of specialty barley malts, wheat and a traditional top fermenting German yeast culture, Cross Knot is a continental style bright ale that exhibits lager like smoothness due to an extended conditioning and moderately cool fermentation. Clean and crisp, with soft herbaceous and mellow notes, it is complemented by mild bittering from a traditional ‘noble’ hop variety up front, and a southern hemisphere zinger on the nose. A session Ale to its core.

Heavy Seas’ first new year­round beer since 2003! This session IPA is bursting with floral and citrus notes and has a strong malt backbone to support all of that hoppy goodness.

Light colored refreshing pale ale with fruity, citrus flavor from Centennial and Cascade hops.

Well balanced amber pale ale accentuated by multiple additions of floral Cascade hops and our unique introduction of grapefruit zest to compliment the citrus notes of the hops.

Grab a Crossed Irons Irish, help a firefighter. Rich from traditional caramelization in the brew kettle, a portion of the proceeds from this ale go to the Terry Farrell Firefighter Fund.

A smooth, crisp Mexican Style lager

Brewed with European Pilsner malt, German wheat malt and a hefty dose of turbinado sugar in the kettle, this beer clocks in at over 9% abv. Despite this it has a dry finish and is very drinkable. The traditional Belgian yeast packs this beer with tropical fruit flavors, a mysterious earthiness and an inviting spiciness. In addition, we added grains of paradise, coriander and the peels of fresh clementines. After fermentation and conditioning we then aged the beer for 3 months in a red wine barrel from Tiger Mountain Vineyards before bottling. The barrel aging added a prominent red wine character, a beautiful color, a nice oak backbone and a mysterious mustiness.
