It is every bryggares dream is to combine such large amounts of malt and hops in this sturdy double IPA. The style was invented in the United States in the 2000s by a few pioneers who wanted to bring the IPA to even greater heights when it comes to malt body, hops aromas and hop bitterness. Our DIPA is an exercise in the art of combining karamellig malt and yeast with massive fruity hops.

Our Double IPA is handcrafted for the well-traveled craft beer enthusiast using Pale Ale, Munich, and Caramalt to achieve an original gravity of 19 Plato. The hop bill consists of a Magnum, Cascade, and Summit used at different times in the boil as well as dry hopping.

West Coast style with hop intensity. CTZ, Centennial and Cascade create the citrus spice that shine in this palate-scrubbing ale. Dry hopping with CTZ and Centennial adds to the robust flavor and bitterness.

The world needs more dark strong ales. We like to respond to this need with this lovely smooth oatmeal stout. A strong taste is provided by chocolaty and roasted malts, which are combined with soft smoothness from the oats. Add up a little bitterness from Columbus hops and you’ll get a dangerously drinkable Double Oatmeal Stout!

Double Overhead IPA is a fresh handcrafted double IPA featuring copious amounts of hops. Laden with hops from begining to end and not overly bitter, it's hop aromas and flavours give hints of Guava, Passion Fruit, and orange spice which blend well with the silky malt flavours. Double Pale means “Extra Strength India Pale Ale (IPA)”. Our recipe is based on an old-world IPA, and is made from 100% organic ingredients. It boasts the fine wallop of hops that craft beer lovers have come to expect, and maintains a fine balance between bitterness, malt, and alcohol. We think you will find its floral aroma, its hoppy bite, and its high gravity to be a warmly satisfying experience. Double Pale is manufactured from 100% organic ingredient; including hops from both the Pacific Northwest and New Zealand. After a protracted kettle, this fine ale is allowed to ferment to full attenuation. A final dry-hopping before packaging reinforces its floral character.

This Double IPA uses Premium American 2– Row and a touch of light crystal malt to create a mellow malt foundation. Four different Hop Varieties are used in this beer. It spends one week dry hopping in the fermenter giving it a floral, slightly piney, grapefruit and citrus aroma. Unlike most Double IPAs, this beer shy’s away from a malty body and starts out with a clean bitterness that finishes off smooth and leaves you wanting more.

What do brewmasters do in their free time? If you're Phil Markowski, the obsessive brewmaster of Southampton, you brew at home, of course! Phil turned his fascination with Belgian-style white ales into a quest to master one of the most challenging beers to brew. Using rustic ingredients like un-malted wheat, Phil experimented over his stove until he felt it was perfect. Take one taste and you'll agree, Phil got it white.

The classic India Pale Ale is a traveler’s beer, aggressively hopped to withstand the long, hot ocean voyage to the British East Indies. Our Double-Wide I.P.A. also travels well, and is right at home in the most exotic ports of call of the Midwest. While this modern-day prairie schooner may not resemble a graceful sailing sloop, our liberal hopping regimen does make her virtually “twister-proof,” with toffee and caramel notes balancing out the lingering bitterness. Enjoy this beer fresh to best appreciate the complex blending of hop aromas, ranging from minty to citrusy, with subtle hints of pine.

Downright Pilsner was the first lager to become a Port City flagship. It debuted in 2012 as our first summer seasonal. Downright Pilsner is a brilliant gold lager, medium-bodied with a soft, round malt profile and crisp, spicy hop character. We brew Downright in the traditional Czech Pilsner style, using 100% Pilsner malt and noble Saaz hops. To further accentuate the spicy aroma, we dry hop our pilsner with additional Saaz hops. Downright Pilsner gets its carbonation completely naturally as it lagers in our fermentation tanks for six weeks.

An all-malt American Brown Ale with just enough hop presence to keep it from being too sweet. The aroma comes predominantly from the malt with a hint of the spiciness of imported British hops. Seven distinct specialty malts are milled at the brewery and mashed together, providing a complex, nutty flavor with subtle, roasted undertones. This Pearl Street original is a favorite amongst locals and professional beer judges alike. Gold Medal Winner at the World Beer Championships, 2003. Available on draught year ‘round.

Sir Isaac Newton, friend of gravity and of gold, was also a politician — but not much of one. As a member of parliament in the late 1680′s he never waded into the partisan fray, only uttering a few words of complaint to an usher about a drafty window. We hope you enjoy our Drafty Window more than Newton enjoyed his. A throwback to pre-prohibition ales, Drafty Window Farmhouse Ale embraces the spirit and craft of the prairie states, but with much of the “farmhouse funk” formulated out. With a focus on locally grown ingredients from the Midwest, this golden ale is complex, spicy and quaffable. Look for it at your favorite retailer or restaurant.

Hefeweizen is an unfiltered classic in Bavaria (“Hefe” means yeast, a small amount of which remains in the beer). In 2004, Bayern Brewing introducing a dark Hefeweizen, otherwise known as a Dunkelweizen (dark wheat), to the line-up: Dragon’s Breath Dark Heff. Dragon’s Breath Dark Heff is mild in taste, unfiltered, and 6.0 % ABV (Alcohol by Volume). It is moderately hopped with Bavaria’s preeminent Hallertauer Perle hops and is cold-fermented, eliminating any harsh aftertaste. Jürgen Knöller, Bayern Brewing’s proprietor and Brew Master, brewed this beer style at four different breweries in Bavaria in the early eighties. His Dark Hefeweizen won Gold at the prestigious German DLG (German society of Food and Drink Producers Association) annual competition consecutively from 1980 through 1985. Jürgen’s same brew, introduced at a major U.S. beer competition for the first time under the label “Dragon Breath Dark Heff”, received the Silver Medal at the North American Brewers’ Association 2008 Beer Awards. Most recently, Dragon's Breath won Gold at the 2011 US Open Beer Tasting Championship.
