Jam Band Berry Ale

Jam Band, our newest Smokestack Series seasonal beer, debuts starting in the Greater Kansas City Area on July 10th with other cities to follow soon. Available exclusively on draft, 1/6 bbl kegs of Jam Band will soon ship throughout our distribution footprint. Featuring humongous fruit character contributed by blueberry, red raspberry and tart cherry juices blended into the beer at the end of fermentation, Jam Band is built upon a fairly simple base beer composed of two-row malted barley with a small percentage of acidulated malt that provides a subtle, crisp tartness. Minimally hopped with Topaz to provide balance, Jam Band truly is all about showcasing bright, tart fruit. Jam Band pours a deep ruby and opens with aromas of dark berries, melon and subtle citrus. Minimal, supporting malt sweetness provides a platform from which blueberry, red raspberry and tart cherry sing resulting in a slightly tart, easy-drinking summer beer that begs for an encore.

Landfall

Landfall is the moment that a long journey comes to it’s conclusion, and that’s exactly what the Landfall White Sour is meant to be. Made for novices and experts alike, this traditional German style beer is packed full of the complexity and adventurousness seasoned beer nerds crave, but has the balance to be the perfect introduction to the craft beer world. German Perle hops give Landfall an incredibly pleasing floral aroma paired with a sour crispness that makes for a light but awesomely full-flavored beer that you won’t be able to put down… but at 3.5% ABV, you might never have to!

Make Hay

Make Hay is a Saison crafted with Pilsner Malt, Ballad malt, Wheat Malt, Flaked Oats, Flaked Rye, and Acidulated Malt. A primary fermentation with authentic Belgian farmhouse yeast then several months of maturation in oak with our house wild yeast blend imparts notes of white pepper, tangerine, dry hay, and farm-like funk to this strong but delicate ale. Make Hay is fermented and aged in oak barrels for several months and then bottle conditioned.

Oktoberfest

Nothing pairs better with the great fall season than our traditional German Style Märzen Lager. With its roots stemming from traditional Bavarian culture, our Oktoberfest is brewed with tons of Vienna style malts that bring about BIG malty flavor. That big malty flavor then fades away to a clean hop bitterness provided by the Perle hops for a full-flavored and balanced experience.

Roots

Inspired by a combination of a time honored American beer style and family heritage, may we present ROOTS - an American Pale Ale. A new age hop twist on a classic style leads to loads of fruity aromas straight from the tropics while in cahoots with perfumes from the citrus varieties of hops we all know and love. The clean malt base allows for more fruity esters to blend into a flavorful, yet hop dominated finish. The best part? Having this crisp, little mouthful of goodness available in cans lets you take it anywhere to forget about life and get back to your roots.

Shirley Mae

Shirley Mae (1936 - 2015) was our cousin, daughter of Everett, and a beloved supporter of her family and Hill Farmstead. In her honor, this American session version of our Everett porter is crafted from American malted barley, English and German roasted malts, American hops, our ale yeast, and water from our well. Chocolate, coffee, and light malty sweetness, this ale embodies her ebullient and generous spirit—a fitting tribute.

Welterweight

After seeing people’s reaction to the limited-edition Rodeo Monk Belgian-style IPA, I brewed Welterweight Session IPA to offer the same big hop aromas and delicate fruitiness with a reduced overall bitterness. This feisty white session IPA delivers hoppy Belgian-style IPA qualities at a much more reasonable 4.8% abv, making Welterweight a beer that you can sit on a deck and drink all summer long – and that is exactly what I plan to do!

Westfield is fermented and aged in oak barrels for several months with our wild yeast culture and then bottle conditioned.

Badge

Originally brewed out of necessity to grow yeast, Badge quickly became a crowd favorite here at the brewery. The beer was released on our tours to celebrate local police officers. On release day we gave free six-packs to any licensed public safety officials as a thank you for their service and to celebrate their commitment to serving the community. The beer, and the day, turned out to be fantastic and we felt it was something worthy of doing on a larger scale. Badge tickles all the senses with complex aromas and flavors but if you’re not looking to tear it down into individual layers you’ll find it’s juicy, fruity, hop aromas and hint of lager-crisp cleanliness pleasing to the pallet. Unlike having cuffs slapped on your taste buds from a lockdown of flavors in some India-style beers, Badge leaves your senses alert and in tact.

Calista IPA

Calista, the name of a new German hop that is a wonderful blend of bright melons, pear, tropical notes, and floral noble hops, is the first in an ongoing series of experimental IPA's. Our objective with this beer is to highlight this unique hop and learn more about how it performs in the context of a big IPA. The beer is around 7% and features a similar soft water profile (like Goodvice) which accentuates the aromatics and flavor of the hop while minimizing the potential bitterness.

Citrus Grove

The Hefeweizen has been circling the top of beers we want to produce since Eventide began production. This year we’ll make this happen in true Eventide style: by putting our own unique spin on it. Cloudy and sweet with just enough bitterness to balance, the beer is a true German Hefe. However, through the addition of Sorachi Ace hops and real lemongrass we’ve been able to impart a citrus zest and tartness that makes this beer perfect for summer. Prost!

Dead Guy Ale

In the style of a German Maibock, using our proprietary Pacman ale yeast. Deep honey in color with a malty aroma and a rich hearty flavor. In the early 1990s Dead Guy Ale was created as a private tap sticker to celebrate the Mayan Day of the Dead (November 1st, All Souls Day) for Casa U Betcha in Portland, Oregon. The Dead Guy design proved so popular with consumers and especially Grateful Dead fans, that we made it the label for our Maierbock ale. Even though the association with the Grateful Dead band is pure coincidence, we have gratefully dedicated Dead Guy Ale to the Rogue in each of us.
